Symphony of the Americas: Beethoven to Bluegrass
feat The Lubben Brothers
CELEBRATE BEETHOVEN's 250th WITH BEETHOVEN TO BLUEGRASS
The Lubben Brothers (triplets) classically trained, are equally as comfortable with classical masters as they are in their modern song-writing style, incorporating folk roots and complex ideas using a unique blend of folk instruments. The evening begins with a Beethoven 250th Anniversary Tribute – his Triple Concerto in C Major – for piano, violin and cello as simultaneous solo instruments. Forging new ground in Bluegrass style on acoustical instruments – fiddle, five-string banjo, guitar, mandolin, and string bass – the brothers bring a NEW match in a first-time partnership with full orchestra: bluegrass instrumentation and classical style.
