The former lead singer, songwriter and guitarist for the pop sensation Men At Work is best known for his captivating stories and evocative songs, peppering his performances with 80's anthems such as "Down Under," "Who Can It Be Now?" and "Overkill." Turning raw emotion into musical inspiration, Hay reinvented himself as a solo artist and successfully developed a new generation of devoted fans. His latest 2017 release, Fierce Mercy, is an epic, cinematic step forward delivering what is has been considered the defining album of his solo career. Recorded in both Los Angeles and Nashville and mixed by Vance Powell (Chris Stapleton, Jack White) and Gordon Hammond (Buddy Miller, Don Williams), the album explores themes of love and loss, mortality, and even the odd UFO sighting, but always with the singular perspective and insightful wit that define Hay’s work.
