FORT LAUDERDALE – The Broward Center for the Performing Arts recently honored its volunteers who donate their time to one of the largest arts-in-education programs in the United States, which serves more than 130,000 students annually.

16th ANNUAL SOUTH FLORIDA CAPPIES NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED

FORT LAUDERDALE – The Critics’ Awards Program, or Cappies for short, will celebrate outstanding achievement in high school theater when students from 24 public and private schools throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties vie for top honors in the 16th Annual South Florida Cappies Awards Gala on Tuesday, May 22 at 7 p.m. in the Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announces Arts Across America, a campaign that leverages the resources of the nation’s cultural center to recognize thriving arts communities across the country. Through community outreach and one-day events, Arts Across America will spotlight everyday cities and towns that are using the arts to promote connection, a strong creative economy, and cultural citizenship.

The sensational 13-piece String of Pearls Big Band Orchestra and fabulous singers and dancers of In the Mood: A 1940s Musical Revue at Parker Playhouse on Sunday, January 28 at 3 p.m. recreate a time when everyone was singing and dancing to the same kind of music.
