THE HENRY FORD’S INNOVATION NATION - LIVE! FOR FAMILIES

 FORT LAUDERDALE – Inspired by the two-time Emmy Award®-winning CBS Saturday morning TV show, The Henry Ford’s Innovation Nation - Live! will be presented at The Parker on Sunday, March 3 at 3 p.m. and Monday, March 4 at 10 a.m. Like its TV counterpart, two correspondents engage with the audience and illustrate how innovators of the past continue to influence science, technology, agriculture, design making and social justice movements today. Luminaries of the past including Henry Ford, the Wright Brothers, Rosa Parks and George Washington Carver come to life and their achievements are highlighted and reflected by examples of present-day innovations. A family show for children ages 10 and older, The Henry Ford’s Innovation Nation – Live! offers connections to the school curriculum in science, social studies, American history, social justice, agricultural history, environmental history and computer technology. The Henry Ford’s Innovation Nation is produced in partnership by The Henry Ford and Litton Entertainment, a leading independent production and distribution company. The Henry Ford in Dearborn, Michigan is a national historic landmark and a force for sparking curiosity and inspiring tomorrow’s innovators. Nearly 1.8 million visitors annually experience its five attractions. This Griffin Theatre Company production brings to life the world-changing innovations featured in the television show and preserved in the museum’s archives. With over 60 million annual viewers, Innovation Nation is part of The CBS Dream Team, It’s Epic! – Saturday morning line up on the CBS Television Network. Tickets for Sunday, March 3 at 3 p.m. are $23–$33 with $63 VIP tickets that include a post-show photo opportunity with members of the cast and other exclusives. The performance on Monday, March 4 at 10 a.m. is presented as a JM Family Enterprises Smart Stage Matinee with tickets priced at $7.20 with $3 lap seats for infants 12-months or younger. ABOUT PARKER PLAYHOUSE
The neo-classical Playhouse Parker is one of Fort Lauderdale’s first venues. Built by Dr. Louis Parker, the playhouse opened its doors on February 6, 1967 and is managed now by the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. This 1,168-seat, fully equipped theater plays an important role in the community by fueling economic development, while also bringing the community together with performances, activities and educational programming.
