NICHOLAS “THE FEELIN’” DAVID BRINGS HIS SOULFUL VIBE

Published: Apr 30, 2019

FORT LAUDERDALE – With a voice described by the Chicago Tribune as “a mix of the growl of Dr. John with the silk of Marvin Gaye,” singer/songwriter Nicholas David performs in the intimate Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, May 18 at 8 p.m.

This Minnesota musician’s emotional approach to songwriting and performing earned him the nickname “The Feelin’” in the Twin Cities music scene and David doesn’t shy away from the rich and influential rock ‘n’ soul history of the state that produced both Bob Dylan and Prince.

David first came to national prominence on NBC’s The Voice. As a member of Team CeeLo, he performed covers of everything from Jimi Hendrix to Jerry Lee Lewis leading to an ultimate third-place finish.

Prior to The Voice, David had already recorded five critically-acclaimed albums and garnered national radio airplay. His 2013 EP, Say Goodbye, spent a week on the Billboard Top 50. In 2018 and early 2019, David toured the world as a keyboardist and vocalist for the Devon Allman project.

David’s music incorporates multiple genres and influences ranging from Prince to Beethoven and he’s developed a fan base for his electrifying live shows, powerful voice and liquid piano playing.
