MUSIC LEGEND BUDDY GUY RETURNS TO OUR STAGE

Published: Mar 28, 2019

FORT LAUDERDALE – Eight-time Grammy® Award winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Buddy Guy performs in the Au-Rene Theater on Friday, March 22 at 8 p.m. An iconic force on guitar whose incandescent solos reveal the searing, uninhibited soul of the blues, Guy stands alone as the greatest living blues artist in the world, defining second-generation Chicago blues. The title of his latest album showcasing his raw and unadulterated sound says it all: The Blues Is Alive and Well. Honored by the Americana Music Association® 2018 Americana Lifetime Achievement Award, Guy has also been recognized with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement award and is a 2003 National Medal of Arts Recipient. The Columbus Dispatch declared “Buddy Guy: iconic guitarist dazzles, still brings on funk” and reported “the show opened with a barn-burning display of his wild, trademark guitar style, plainly a prime influence on the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and many more.” Tickets are $25–$99.50 with $129.50 tickets for the JetBlue Flight Deck on the Club Level.
