LEONI TORRES AMOR BONITO U.S. TOUR COMES TO OUR STAGE

Published: Sep 11, 2019

FORT LAUDERDALE – The Broward Center for the Performing Arts presents Leoni Torres in the Amor Bonito U.S. tour on Saturday, September 21 at 8 p.m. in the Au-Rene Theater.

Recognized as one of the most important figures of Cuban music at this moment, the vocalist, composer and producer started his artistic career at a young age and was evaluated as a singer in 1998 in his hometown. While part of the group Costa Sur from Camagüey, he caught the attention of David Calzado, who asked him to join his famous group, Charanga Habanera.

During his eight years with the group that played what the New York Times called “hopped up Salsa from Havana,” Torres toured the world, recorded several albums and achieved great success with hits like "Tiene de Cuba, tiene mela'o" and "Gozando y a lo Cubano."
