Based on David Lindsay-Abaire’s play, the musical follows Kimberly Levaco, a teenager with a rare condition that rapidly accelerates the aging process, as she navigates a life that is as whimsical as it is piercing — and powerfully life-affirming. Featuring a score by Jeanine Tesori and David Lindsay-Abaire, the show brims with quirky humor, social satire and songs that leave audiences both grinning and deeply moved. Known for their work in arts and healing, Brazilian Voices deliver a one-hour musical experience of Bossa Nova favorites and American classics — including “The Girl from Ipanema,” “Fly Me to the Moon” and “Isn’t She Lovely” — performed by award-winning female singers with light percussion and guitar. Slow Burn Theatre Company: Hairspray
April 11–26, 2026
MD Now® Urgent Care Slow Burn Theatre Company’s 2025/2026 season presented by United Community Bank continues at the Broward Center with Hairspray, the eight-time Tony Award-winner — including Best Musical. It’s 1962 in Baltimore, and lovable plus-size teen Tracy Turnblad has one dream: to dance on the “Corny Collins Show.” When her dream comes true, Tracy transforms from social outcast to sudden star, using her newfound platform to dethrone the reigning Teen Queen, win the heart of heartthrob Link Larkin and integrate a TV network — all without denting her ‘do. Book by Thomas Meehan and Mark O’Donnell; music and lyrics by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman; based on the New Line Cinema film written and directed by John Waters.
Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Eric Johnson
Mon, April 14, 2026
The Broward Center presents Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Eric Johnson as part of the Cleveland Clinic Rock Series. Thirty years ago, a Strat-wielding teenager from Shreveport, Louisiana named Kenny Wayne Shepherd reignited mainstream interest in the blues with his debut album Ledbetter Heights — which cracked the Top 10, went Platinum and earned him a place just behind B.B. King and Eric Clapton in Guitar World’s blues rankings. Now a seasoned master, Shepherd revisits Ledbetter Heights with a refined re-recording marking its 30th anniversary, featuring nuanced guitar work and longtime bandmate Noah Hunt on vocals.

April 16 – May 3, 2026
The Broward Center presents The Office! A Musical Parody as part of the Broward OFF Center Series: Not Your Average Night Out. The beloved mockumentary gets a tuneful twist as all the favorite characters — and key plot elements — come to life on stage in a hilarious and unexpectedly musical reimagining. Writers Bob and Tobly McSmith bring the cringe, the awkwardness and the heart of both the British original and the American phenomenon to a whole new level of outrageousness. General admission; this event contains adult language and content.
