A NEW YEAR BRINGS A NEW SERIES AND MORE BROADWAY TO THE BROWARD CENTER

As many kick off the year with aspirations and a sense of newness, the Broward Center for the Performing Arts begins 2026 with something entirely its own—the launch of its Broward Off Center series. The month opens on a spirited note with In Pour Taste, a boozy, comedy-driven wine tasting experience, with non-alcoholic options available upon advance request for those embracing Dry January.

January also brings two major Broadway titles to the Au-Rene Theater as the Center continues its 2025/2026 Bank of America Broadway in Fort Lauderdale season, welcoming & Juliet and the return of Riverdance with its 30th anniversary tour. Rounding out the month is a strong slate of top comedians and artists, including David Nihill, Eddie B., Pete Correale, Pat McGann, Steve Solomon and acclaimed guitarist Leo Kottke, offering audiences a full range of performances to start the new year.

Slow Burn Theatre Company: Disney’s Frozen  
December 13 – January 4 
The Broward Center wraps its time in Arendelle with the final performances of the MD Now® Urgent Care Slow Burn Theatre Company production of Disney’s Frozen, running through January 4 and presented by United Community Bank. Featuring Anna, Elsa and the magical world of Arendelle, the production invites audiences of all ages into a beloved winter adventure.

In Pour Taste
Jan 8 – Jan 25
Presented by the Broward Center, In Pour Taste: A Comedy Wine Tasting Experience brings a fresh blend of humor and wine education to the launch of the Broward Off Center Series. Comedians Sweeney Preston and Ethan Cavanagh team up with a featured wine expert to guide audiences through five tastings paired with quick wit and playful commentary. Whether you’re a confident sauvignon sipper or a chardonnay novice, the show turns wine’s most pressing questions—What’s a tannin? Is the pinky supposed to be up? And who parked in the loading bay? —into part of the fun.

Each ticket includes five tastings and a personal charcuterie board, with vegetarian and alcohol-free options available upon request. Following sell-out runs in Toronto, New York, the UK and Australia, In Pour Taste makes its Florida debut. This event contains adult language or content.

David Nihill: Talking Tangents
January 10 
David Nihill brings to the Broward Center Talking Tangents on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Truist Comedy Series. Fresh off a sold-out world tour, Nihill returns with his new show, Taking Tangents, drawing on years of global travel and cultural misadventures. His stories weave together sharp observations, linguistic missteps, and encounters from living and working in more than a dozen countries. Winner of the prestigious San Francisco Comedy Competition and runner-up in The Moth’s largest U.S. GrandSLAM storytelling competition, Nihill has released three acclaimed specials—Documented, Cultural Appreciation, and his 2025 award-winning show Shelf Help. After breaking out with his viral videos What Teachers Really Want to Say, Eddie B. became the unfiltered voice of educators, selling out venues nationwide with his sharp, honest and hilarious take on life inside the classroom. His raw, relatable humor has earned him a global following.

Leo Kottke

Renowned guitarist Leo Kottke brings his singular musicianship to the Broward Center on Sunday January 11, 2026, at 7 p.m. With more than 40 albums and two Grammy nominations, Kottke is celebrated for his unmistakable fingerpicking style that blends folk, blues and jazz with clarity and emotion. Since his breakthrough with 1971’s Mudlark, he has continued to shape the acoustic guitar landscape through influential recordings and acclaimed collaborations with Phish bassist Mike Gordon. Known for his virtuosity, warmth and understated wit, Kottke offers audiences an intimate evening with one of the most distinctive voices in acoustic music.

Broadway in Fort Lauderdale: & Juliet

Kick off the new year as the Broward Center continues its 2025/2026 Bank of America Broadway in Fort Lauderdale season with & Juliet, running January 12–25. Created by the Emmy-winning writer of Schitt’s Creek, this hilarious and heart-filled musical flips the script on the world’s most famous love story and imagines what happens if Juliet chooses a new ending—and a bold new beginning. Bursting with chart-topping pop anthems including Since U Been Gone, Roar, Baby One More Time, Larger Than Life, That’s The Way It Is and Can’t Stop the Feeling!, the show celebrates second chances, self-discovery and rewriting your own story. Recommended for ages 8+ with adult language. Children under 4 will not be admitted. & Juliet includes flashing/strobe lighting, loud noises, confetti cannons and pyrotechnics throughout.

Pete Correale: As I Was Saying

Pete Correale brings As I Was Saying to Broward Center on Friday January 16, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Truist Comedy Series. Known for his hit podcast The Pete and Sebastian Show with Sebastian Maniscalco, Correale’s comedy draws from everyday life with the ease and honesty of someone swapping stories at a party. His relatable wit, conversational delivery and unmistakable New York charm have earned him appearances on The Tonight Show, Letterman and Conan, along with three one-hour specials and two comedy albums.

Judy Collins comes to the Broward Center on Saturday January 17, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Baptist Health Red Carpet Series. With a luminous career spanning more than 55 albums, the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter is celebrated for her crystalline vocals, deeply felt interpretations of folk standards and her own poetic originals. Her landmark recordings include her Grammy Hall of Fame rendition of Joni Mitchell’s Both Sides Now and her iconic version of Stephen Sondheim’s Send in the Clowns, which earned Song of the Year in 1975. A true musical trailblazer and enduring cultural voice, Collins continues to inspire generations with performances that are intimate, heartfelt and timeless.

Steve Solomon brings his newest comedy installment Cannoli, Latkes & Guilt! the therapy continues… to the Broward Center on Sunday January 25, 2026, at 2 p.m. As the creator of the wildly popular My Mother’s Italian, My Father’s Jewish & I’m in Therapy series, Solomon has made millions laugh across the country with his sharp character work and pitch-perfect dialects. In this latest chapter, he brings to life a parade of unforgettable personalities, roughly twenty characters in all—each voiced with the warmth, chaos and comedic flair audiences have come to love. It’s an afternoon of family, neuroses and nonstop laughter from a master storyteller who makes every scene feel hilariously true to life.

Demola Live!

Demola, the internationally acclaimed “Demola the Violinist,” comes to the Broward Center on Friday January 30, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., presented by the Broward Center and AEG as part of the Mosaic Series. Born in Lagos and now based in the U.S., Demola has become one of the world’s most-followed violinists, captivating millions with a signature blend of Afrobeat, reggae, R&B, hip-hop, pop and country. His viral performances and high-energy stage presence have fueled sold-out shows across more than 20 cities, highlighted by favorites like “One in a Million,” “Mbappé” and “Lova.” A Houston hometown standout who has performed national anthems for major sports teams and shared the stage with Jelly Roll, Demola continues redefining modern violin music with innovation, charisma and global appeal.

Broadway in Fort Lauderdale: Riverdance 30 – The New Generation

Riverdance 30 – The New Generation takes over the Au-Rene Theater January 30 – February 1, 2026, as part of the Bank of America Broadway in Fort Lauderdale season. A groundbreaking blend of Grammy Award–winning music, movement and theatrical artistry, Riverdance has captivated audiences for three decades with its unmistakable choreography and driving score. The production’s current touring edition brings a special anniversary tour that rejuvenates the original, much-loved show with innovative choreography and state-of-the-art lighting and motion graphics. 

Pat McGann

Pat McGann comes to the Broward Center on Saturday January 31, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Truist Comedy Series. A rising star in stand-up comedy, McGann began performing at age 31 and quickly distinguished himself with sharp wit and a relatable take on family life and everyday absurdities. A husband and father of three, his comedy blends personal insight with crowd-winning humor honed as house emcee at Zanies Chicago and as a touring opener for Sebastian Maniscalco. McGann’s résumé includes appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, along with performances at Just for Laughs, Gilda’s LaughFest and more, making him one of comedy’s most engaging voices today.
