Dance NOW! Miami presents: Oceanica and Other Works

Dance NOW! Miami Presents Program III, featuring “Oceanica and other works.” Co-Artistic Director Diego Salterini plunges audiences into the ocean’s dual nature—its breathtaking power and delicate vulnerability—through a contemporary dance and kinetic meditation on marine life. The full ensemble embodies marine life through movement blending ballet's precision, modern dance's depth, and jazz's energy, journeying from ocean depths to surface in a celebration of this biodiverse ecosystem.

DNM will also present "Crocevie/Crossroads," a world premiere exploring how Naples and Miami mirror each other in cultures, languages, and histories. This collaboration between directors Salterini and Baumgarten with an original score by Neapolitan composer/pianist Sara Amoresano and original video art projections by Alex Amoresano is part of the company’s international exchange program with Italy.

The evening also revives Baumgarten's "House on Fire" (2009), an audience favorite set in an underground nightclub— full of romance, passion, and raucous energy that brings crowds to their feet.
