ACTING FOR THE CAMERA

This class meets weekly on Zoom and has been specially designed to provide you the best possible virtual experience.

Build your actor toolbelt and learn to translate your skills to camera work. This class will use interactive exercises to develop skills in character development and analysis, text analysis (objectives, beats, tactics, etc.), observation, listening and making strong creative choices. Learn how to relate to the camera and create consistent performances so you don’t end up on the cutting room floor. Take these newly acquired skills and then apply them to your next filmed project or your everyday life on Zoom!

ADULT ACTING-MONOLOGUE BUILDING

This is the time to build on your skills, update your repertoire, prepare for after “the pause”. A strong, multi-layered character is crucial in the actor’s work and specificity is key. This class focuses on analysis, the steps needed for clear and complex character development and the integration of the breath, body and intellect. Reading of handouts and working on your text outside of class is required. Prerequisite: Prior acting class or acting experience is required.

You’ve always wanted to step out on the stage and this is the year to “just try it!” Learn the ‘fun’damentals of acting in a relaxed, nurturing atmosphere. Participate in physical and vocal warm-ups, improvisation, individual acting exercises and more. Bring attention to your listening and observation skills and learn how to take the stage!

ADULT COMEDY IMPROV

This class meets weekly on Zoom and has been specially designed to provide you the best possible virtual experience.

Unleash your creative genius in this Comedy Improv class geared for beginners as well as experienced improvisers who want to refresh and hone skills and state of play. This class has been formulated specifically with games and scene work for online improv play and consists of warm-ups, light skill work and “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”-style and scene-based improv game play. Students leave with a greater understanding of the basic tenets of improv and improv scene work. Course study has an emphasis on solid skills coupled with fun!

ADULT BROADWAY DANCE

Designed for adults who just want to DANCE! Broadway dance is the focus of this high energy class. Taught by award-winning director/choreographer Ron Hutchins, Broadway Dance is the perfect class to help you stay fit while learning basic steps and explosive choreography from some of Broadway’s greatest shows. Spread the word, bring a friend and take advantage of this opportunity to embrace your inner dancer. No prior experience required. All dance levels welcome.

Life is a cabaret! Expand your singing and performing techniques in this cabaret class for adult singers. Continue to develop proper breath control, tone production and vocal expression by acting out a song in a safe and professional environment. Classes open with technique exercises and continue with the opportunity for students to present a solo performance for more individual feedback.  This class culminates with a livestream cabaret performance for family and friends.

This class meets weekly on Zoom and has been specially designed to provide you the best possible virtual experience.

 
Do you like to sing? Do you need a mid-afternoon song break to brighten up your day? Then Adult Sing Along is the class for you! This fun and interactive class is designed for adults who enjoy singing and meeting others in a virtual setting. Each week will feature songs based on a particular theme and students will learn and sing the songs together.  No previous singing experience is necessary!
