BROWARD PERFORMING ARTS FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES 2025-2026 OFFICERS AND NEW BOARD MEMBER

The Broward Performing Arts Foundation Board of Directors welcomed three new members and announced the appointment of its 2025-2026 officers.
Serving as Chair is Dev Motwani, Managing Partner of Merrimac Ventures, who previously served as vice chair; Vice Chair is Ann M. Burris, community leader and former telecommunications executive, who previously served as treasurer; Secretary for a second term is Alice Lucia Jackson, former real estate consultant; Treasurer is Eric Vainder, Senior Market Executive for Broward County at Northern Trust; and Immediate Past Chair is Senator George S. LeMieux, Chairman of the Board of the Gunster law firm, public servant and author.
New to the Broward Performing Arts Foundation board are Jason Edelmann, Aly Heimovics and Jack Melnicoff:
Jason Edelmann is President of Bank of America Fort Lauderdale, where he leads more than 900 team members across Broward County. He also serves as Market Executive for Merrill Lynch’s Florida Tropics Market, overseeing wealth management offices that provide services for both domestic and international clients in Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Aventura, Plantation and Weston. A former Major in the U.S. Marine Corps, law firm partner, Special Assistant U.S. Attorney and Olympic alpine skier, Edelmann earned a finance degree from the University of Colorado and law degree from the University of Florida.
Aly Heimovics is Senior Vice President and South Florida Region Middle Market Leader at Truist. She has more than 30 years of banking experience and a passion for helping companies grow and communities thrive. Named to the Women We Admire List of Top 50 Women Leaders in Miami, Heimovics currently serves as an executive board member of Kindness Matters 365 and previously served on the advisory board of FAU College of Arts and Letters and the steering committee for the CFO Leadership Council. Heimovics earned an MBA from the University of Miami and BBA from the University of Georgia.
Jack Melnicoff is an executive sales representative for Cloudflare (NYSE: NET), a publicly traded cybersecurity company, where he ranks among the top five performers worldwide. A Fort Lauderdale native, Melnicoff graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School and attended Flagler College on a golf scholarship where he was an All-American and team captain. He spent two years on the NGA Tour, the largest developmental tour globally for professional golfers. Melnicoff began his sales career in Chicago and later returned to Fort Lauderdale with his wife, Stephanie, and their three sons. A member of Leadership Florida Connect Class 7, Melnicoff is active in the community and has served on the Christ Church financial board, Jack and Jill Children’s Center board and the Cardinal Gibbons Capital Campaign board, in addition to regularly volunteering as a youth sports coach in baseball, soccer and flag football.
“We are thrilled to have Jason, Aly and Jack join our board,” said Broward Performing Arts Foundation President Lisa Kitei. “They are passionate, dedicated leaders who care deeply about supporting arts and education in our community.”
For more than 40 years, the Broward Performing Arts Foundation has been instrumental in providing support for the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The Foundation was established in 1985 to deliver the required private funding to build the Center and create an endowment to sustain its operations. Over the years, the Foundation has successfully raised funds to support the Broward Center’s innovative and diverse programming, arts-in-education initiatives, community engagement activities and capital projects. In 2021, the Foundation completed a $30 million capital campaign to renovate and restore the iconic Parker Playhouse. Prior to this, it raised $60 million to complete the Encore! capital campaign to renovate, renew and revitalize the Broward Center.
