FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS THE 50-50 RAFFLE?
The gross proceeds of 50-50 Raffle entries sold go into a prize pool and 50% less taxes is awarded to the winner of a random drawing. The remaining 50% is a contribution to the Broward Performing Arts Foundation to support its mission.
WHERE CAN I PURCHASE 50-50 RAFFLE ENTRIES?
50-50 Raffle entries can be purchased online at www.Browardcenter.org/raffle
DO I HAVE TO MAKE A CONTRIBUTION OR PURCHASE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE RAFFLE?
No contribution or purchase is necessary to enter or win. To receive a free entry or purchase a Raffle entry for less than the suggested minimum contribution, send your name, address, phone number and email address to 50-50 Raffle, Broward Performing Arts Foundation, 201 SW Fifth Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. All requests must be received by 11:59pm on May 26, 2021. There is a limit of one free or reduced contribution Raffle entry per person.
WILL I RECEIVE A PHYSICAL RAFFLE TICKET?
No. Every Raffle entry will be entered into a computer program by name. There are no physical raffle tickets.
WHEN WILL THE DRAWING TAKE PLACE?
The drawing will take place on May 28, 2021 at 12:00pm. The winner will be notified via email and phone within 24 hours.
HOW DO I CLAIM THE PRIZE?
Winners have 10 days after notification to claim the Prize by contacting the Foundation at 954-468-3284 or at [email protected]. The winner is required to provide an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release and provide requested documentation to collect the Prize.
WHO CAN PURCHASE TICKETS?
Anyone 18 years or older and a Florida resident is eligible to participate in the 50-50 Raffle.
ARE MY WINNINGS TAXED?
Yes, the Foundation is required by law to withhold taxes and additional taxes may be required. All taxes are the responsibility of the winner.
