DESCRIPTION:Kristin Key grew up as a minister’s daughter in conservative Amarillo, Texas. After a difficult experience coming out at 16, she returned to the closet and later discovered comedy while studying to become a paramedic. A local open mic launched her career, and her quick wit, storytelling, and original comedy songs quickly won over audiences nationwide. Kristin gained national recognition as a finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing and later moved to Los Angeles. In 2015, inspired by an anti-bullying fundraiser, she publicly came out again and began sharing her journey openly. Now a nationally touring comedian, Kristin performs material about queer culture, relationships, cats, and everyday life.
