The Broward Center for the Performing Arts and Slow Burn Theatre Company are proud to present our first-ever "sensory friendly" performance for the Smart Stage Matinee series with this modified version of You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. This performance is intended to create a welcoming and supportive environment for children and adults on the autism spectrum as well as individuals with other sensitivity issues or developmental disabilities. To create a sensory-friendly setting, slight adjustments have been made to the production including reduced sound levels, no flashing or strobe lights and minimal special effects. An area adjacent to the theater has been designated as a quiet zone with specially trained volunteers to provide audience support.

Video Walkthrough – Plan Your Visit

The whole gang is here! Bossy Lucy is hopelessly in love with piano prodigy Schroeder who doesn’t give her the time of day, perfectionist Sally is still mocking blanket-toting Linus, Snoopy is in the doghouse, and “blockhead,” himself, Charlie Brown, is in rare form. Whether you’re keen to fly with the Red Baron, moon over the Moonlight Sonata, or just do your best to find “Happiness,” You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown is a crowd pleasing classic.

Original Direction for this version of You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown by Michael Mayer Originally Produced in New York by Arthur Whitelaw and Gene Persson You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown is presented by arrangement with TAMS-WITMARK MUSIC LIBRARY, INC. 560 Lexington Avenue, New York, New York 10022.

The Broward Center's sensory-friendly programming is made possible through the generous support of The Taft Foundation, The Hagen Family Foundation and the Gore Family Memorial Foundation.
