This performance is intended to create a welcoming and supportive environment for children and adults on the autism spectrum as well as individuals with other sensitivity issues or developmental disabilities. To create a sensory-friendly setting, slight adjustments have been made to the production including reduced sound levels, no flashing or strobe lights and minimal special effects. An area adjacent to the theater has been designated as a quiet zone with specially trained volunteers to provide audience support.

Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie; Caroline, or Change) and a sidesplitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire. Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage in a hilarious and spectacular production that turns the world of fairytales upside down.

Experience the timeless tale of an unlikely hero named Shrek who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside his wisecracking loyal steed, Donkey as they set off on a quest to rescue and the feisty and beautiful Princess Fiona. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got an irreverent and humorous production that’s fun for the whole family.

Presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
