Event Details

Sam Morrison is a Brooklyn based comedian and writer. He just made his late night television debut on Late Night With Seth Meyers and his solo show Sugar Daddy played Off Broadway for 13 weeks after three extensions, and is transferring to London in May. He is also a Stand Up NBC Finalist, has performed on The Drew Barrymore Show, appeared on Watch What Happens Live & Tamron Hall, and was staffed on the first season of Blind Date, hosted by Nikki Glaser, currently airing on Bravo.

“As theater prepares to rumble into its Tony season full-gear, Morrison’s is the best new show in New York right now: beautifully told, sharp,
moving, and truly laugh-out-loud, doubled-up, head-thrown-back funny.” – The Daily Beast

“A kind of group therapy... the grief comes out in laughs. Sam Morrison confronts overwhelming loss with punch lines and panache.” – The New York Times

“While audiences regularly double over with laughter throughout Sugar Daddy, they're equally likely to bow their heads with tears.” - Playbill

“One of the funniest, most moving live comedy acts this year.” - Broadway World

"A wonderfully intimate offering that stints neither on big laughs, nor on honesty... Sam Morrison’s superb show about his partner’s death proves grief is not beyond comedy’s reach." -The Guardian
