Arts Access
Opening our stage door to community groups.

The Broward Center's Arts Access Program helps small community groups stage performances using the Broward Center’s facilities and resources.

The Arts Access Program is not a grant-giving program. Instead, approved program partners receive a credit toward the cost of renting our facilities, as well as professional advice from Broward Center staff members.

Program partners are approved by our Advisory Panel based on their application. The qualifying criteria reviewed by our Advisory Panel include the following:

  • Does your program meet the Broward Center's programming goals?
  • Does your event increase the diversity of activity at the Center in terms of art form or by a demographic factor such as age, sex, race or ethnicity?
  • Is your budget realistic? Is your marketing plan sound?
  • Does the quality of your work meet professional standards?
  • How likely is your event to succeed financially and/or artistically?
  • What is the extent of your experience?
  • Does your event have reasonable outside support?
