Two important figures from the Piano Festival family have joined forces to create a collaboration that is being met with unbridled enthusiasm in Europe and Japan. Legendary violinist Ida Haendel whose musical career spans nearly EIGHT DECADES, has chosen pianist and Festival discovery, Misha Dacic as the perfect partner to accompany her on a tour that includes concerts in Pilsen, Czech Republic and a series of concerts in Japan during October.

Upon their return, they have graciously agreed to perform their exciting new program for our Season Opening Concert on November 28, 2009. Their programs have included the Enesco Sonata No. 3, Sarasate Carmen Fantasie, Bartok Rumanian Dances and Ravel Tzigane.

Please plan to be with us for this special evening of music which marks the birthday of Anny Rosendorn, a long-time Festival Patron and mother of Artistic Director, Giselle Brodsky. Proceeds from this event will go toward the Anny Rosendorn Memorial Fund and will be used for special recording projects.
